The Education ministry has prepared new regulations for schools that are in the final process of the legislative process, HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi said on Thursday.
The minister stressed that the new regulations will address many of the current articles that were introduced during the launch of independent schools, focusing this year on serving school employees and teachers.
This came during the meeting of the minister with teachers of Umm Salal Mohamed Model Independent School for Boys, during which they exchanged views on issues related to the educational process.
The minister stressed the importance of adhering to the directives of the ministry in order to avoid increasing the amount of written reports and increasing the burdens on teachers in general, noting that reports that do not provide real benefits should be disregarded to focus on the academic side.
The minister also discussed the importance of facilitating co-operation and the relationship between school administrations and teachers.
On teachers’ remarks on school curriculum, the minister stressed that they will make use of the feedback to improve them in the future.
The minister also highlighted that the assistant teachers’ jobs will only be cancelled for the second grade, with the ministry using them to plug the demand for assistant teachers at other levels such as early education and first grade.
All remarks made during the meeting will be discussed further with the ministry’s experts to get their points of view, he added.Courtesy:GulfTimes
